Opportunity for temporary disaster relief work! 

Earn a minimum of $5390/week 
(paid bi-weekly) for the entire crew of 2 people. 

This is a subcontractor job with a net 30 pay cycle from the completion of each project.  As a subcontracted employee, you would be responsible for providing your own 3/4 ton (250/2500) or larger vehicle and the second person for your two person crew. 

We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals interested in disaster relief work on the east coast (North Carolina, Virginia, Florida etc.).  When called upon, accepted candidates will be responsible for meeting at the designated disaster area.  Immediately after a disaster, the team will be dispatched to tow and setup backup generators to various sites.  Previous electrical experience is required.  Training will be provided to advise you on teh compliant methods on stand-by generator setup. 

Time sheet accuracy is important with this role.   

The length of this job is based on the severity of the storm/disaster.  The length of assignment cannot be guaranteed in advance. Disaster relief for storms typically last between 4 days (light storm damage) - 4+ weeks (heavy storm damage).  Sometimes these storms happen repeatedly. Winter storms typically happen from November to January.   

Lodging covered by the Company.  Fuel expenses are covered by the Company.

Responsibilities
Deliver and hook up backup generators to various sites.   
Record information from the generator and the time it takes to perform the job accurately. 

Truck Needs & Requirements
Applicants should have a 3/4 ton (250 or a 2500) or larger truck capable of towing a generator. 

Crew Levels
As subcontracted employees you are responsible for hiring the second person in your crew.  Crews of two will be selected for each disaster relief job.  The crew of two can expect to make a combined $770 per day.  Successful applicants can choose the second member of their crew.  If you choose this option, the primary person hired will get the $770 per day and will be responsible for paying the person they brought onto the job.   

Qualifications
  • Previous electrical experience is required
  • Electrical apprentices are ok
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Must be 21 or over
  • Previous extended stay job experience preferred but not mandatory 
  • Disaster Relief experience a plus
  • US Citizen 

Employment Type

Temporary - **If selected for this role, fulfillment is based on qualifying disasters that hit the east coast. Storm Yard / Disaster relief work is unique. Those selected may be on call for days and sometimes weeks and must be prepared to travel on a short notice and expect possible long work days on arrival.**
